Creamy Chocolate Pudding

010

This is not just any pudding recipe. It makes the thickest, creamiest, pudding recipe you could imagine. And there’s no cooking, no fuss, just a blender and a few ingredients. Come to think of it there isn’t even any sweetener involved.

100% drool worthy.

There’s a secret ingredient.

Can you guess what it is?

And no, it’s not cornstarch. (Come to think of it, cornstarch isn’t a secret pudding ingredient anyways.)

Any guesses?

Creamy Chocolate Pudding

  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/3 a medium avocado
  • 1/3 cup sliced pineapple (or just use another 1/2 a banana)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or sub other non-dairy milks)
  • 1 TB + 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup ice

Make sure your banana is frozen all the way.
Add all ingredients to the blender. Blend until smooth (~ 1 min). I usually layer the liquid then the cocoa so when the blender starts the cocoa powder doesn’t go flying.

Avocado! Thats the secret to creamifying it. (yes, I know thats not a word but it is now)
I love avocados. Avocados get a bad rep because they’re full of fats, which I think is silly because they’re the good-for-you type of fats that everyone needs.

Me? I just love the taste.

This pudding CRAZY good. Originally I thought I was making a smoothie (which is why it is in a glass in the pictures.) But once I tasted it knew it was too thick and creamy to be called a smoothie. Unless you like to eat your smoothies with a spoon. (Ha, actually I do that sometimes).

I gave a glass to my brother (who as ususal, was sitting at his computer.)
I waited until he was finished then casually asked: “Hmm… so did you like it?”
He nods. “It was like pudding.”

See? I’m not the only one who is obsessed with likes this recipe.

I just wish I’d known it would turn out more like pudding that a smoothie so I could put in a bowl and eat with a spoon. You know, just to complete the experience.

:)

Have a terrific end to your weekend!
